The latest Android security update can cause the pairing to be removed from Android. If this happens, the WFS400-PRO app must be updated to version 1.1.90 from December 20, 2024.
This update includes:
- the app can now update the software of the immobilizer's Bluetooth chip - this solves the problem of Android phones losing pairing and increases the stability of the connection in general
- the app now has a signal strength scale, which is set to maximum by default, but if the signal range is too high you can lower it
Some more information to help users
The latest Android security update can cause the pairing to be removed from the Android.
If this happens, please do the following:
- Remove the pairing from the mobile app
- Remove the pairing from the immobilizer - one of the following methods:
1) Pair another phone and if it is paired, remove your phone from the immobilizer (on the main screen of the app).
2) Perform the procedure described in point 9x(d) of the user manual if you have one or more TAGs.
3) Via the ID Switch. Then all saved devices will be deleted from the WFS400 and must be paired again afterwards. To do this, the WFS400 must also be deleted from each device (smartphone or TAG).
- Turn on the ignition, wait at least 10 seconds and then continue
- Pair your phone again (two pairing requests may appear - accept both)
- After pairing, a pop-up notification about an available BLE module update should appear - please perform the update immediately (before disconnecting)
IF no pop-up asking you to update the immobilizer radio chip appears, please go to Information → BLE chip software date → Update
